Set on a sweeping Martha's Vineyard farm overlooking the Atlantic, Herring Creek Farm was designed to feel as though it has belonged to the landscape for generations. Though newly built, the estate embraces the philosophy of implied history, with layered architecture, authentic materials, and timeless proportions that give the home the character of a historic coastal farmstead.

Designed by Patrick Ahearn Architect and built by Colonial Reproductions, the residence balances grand entertaining spaces with intimate moments throughout. An H-shaped plan, thoughtfully scaled wings, wraparound porches, and a collection of courtyards create a home that feels expansive without ever overwhelming its surroundings. Inside, extensive custom millwork, antique beams, wide-plank flooring, handcrafted cabinetry, and stone fireplaces reinforce the home's enduring sense of place.

Executing that vision required meticulous craftsmanship at every stage of construction. As a luxury custom home builder on Martha's Vineyard, Colonial Reproductions worked closely with the architect, interior designer, and client to refine millwork profiles, material transitions, and architectural details through countless mock-ups, ensuring every element felt historically authentic. Beyond the home itself, the careful integration of landscape architecture, hardscape, pool, and surrounding farmland creates a seamless connection between architecture and nature, resulting in an estate that feels both timeless and deeply rooted in Martha's Vineyard.
