31 South Water Street

Restoration

Nestled along Edgartown Harbor’s waterfront, 31 South Water Street is a two-and-a-half story Federal Colonial home once inhabited by a revered sea captain. Now serving as Colonial Reproductions' show house, it celebrates historic charm and high-end attention to detail. Constructed between 1886 and 1898, the home's original beauty had been concealed beneath layers of modern alterations.

A commitment to historically motivated architecture led Colonial Reproductions to bring Patrick Ahearn’s design to life, infusing the property with renewed vitality and purpose. The result is a harmonious blend of old-world elegance and contemporary comfort, meticulously crafted to honor its rich heritage. Seamlessly intertwining past and present for authentic history antique floors and timber beams were used throughout the home.

Original features such as antique floors and timber beams were lovingly preserved, seamlessly intertwining past and present.
