Renovation

Embarking on a journey of historical revival, this project breathed new life into a cherished circa-1820 Federal-style home once owned by carpenter Ellis Lewis. Through meticulous gut renovation and thoughtful design, the main residence now boasts modern wings alongside its timeless charm. Situated on a narrow lot with dual streetscapes, each structure, from the carriage house to the Greek Revival dollhouse folly, pays homage to its historic roots while embracing contemporary living. The main house exudes a sense of openness and fluidity, featuring a reimagined floor plan and luxurious additions, such as a new bedroom in the former attic space. With attention to detail, the fit and finish resonate with the craftsmanship of yesteryears, seamlessly blending past and present into a harmonious architectural masterpiece.
