The owners of the Captain Consider Fisher House aimed to transform their 1845 Greek Revival into a vacation retreat that seamlessly blends intimacy with entertainment capabilities. To fulfill their vision, a historically appropriate second gabled structure was added, linked to the original dwelling by a glass-enclosed dining pavilion resembling a breezeway.

At the heart of this addition is a spacious dining area with six sets of French doors. This design revitalizes the previously closed plan and floods the interior with natural light, fostering a harmonious indoor-outdoor living experience. Despite the modern enhancements, including ten-foot ceilings and expanded square footage, the house retains its contextual integrity, preserving its historic charm while accommodating contemporary lifestyles.
