Flip Flop

Renovation

Situated on a sprawling 2.8-acre property, this enclave has long been graced by two quaint beach shacks nestled among its dunes. Through a meticulous restoration and renovation effort, the larger shack has been transformed into a charming main house, while the smaller one now serves as guest quarters. With a shared vision to preserve the original character of the buildings, update them with modern comforts, and safeguard the surrounding dunes, the restoration project was comprehensive in scope.

The transformation included structural enhancements and technical upgrades, such as new roofing, siding, doors, insulation, wiring, plumbing, and appliances. Internally, the interiors were redesigned to blend seamlessly with the pristine natural setting, fostering a harmonious connection between the buildings and their sun-kissed waterfront surroundings. The main cottage now boasts three bedrooms, including a lofted space accessed by a ship's ladder. The central gathering area features a vaulted ceiling and a fireplace crafted from beach stones sourced from the property's own shoreline. Similarly, the smaller cottage provides a cozy retreat for guests, equipped with all the comforts of home while celebrating the beauty of the outdoors with a pergola-covered porch. The main house features expansive glass walls that blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor living.
