Norman Rankow was born and raised in New York City. He attended the State University of New York at Farmingdale on Long Island and graduated with the degree of Associate in Applied Science. Then in 1978 he attended and graduated from the Long Island Builders Institute.

After college Norman worked for Contractors Supply Corp. in Long Island City covering the five boroughs of New York City, selling equipment to construction companies for waste handling, scrap operations, and other related businesses to both large and small contractors.

Norman founded Colonial Reproductions, Inc. in 1978 on Martha’s Vineyard where he had summered as a child with his parents in the 60’s. Over the past forty years, he has built the business to the size it is today and is honored to be considered one of the premier & award winning General Contracting firms on Martha’s Vineyard.
